I let my managers know multiple hours before my shift starts, and I don't hear back until after my shift starts. I hate these clowns. I had that problem at the call center I used to work at. I'd call in well in advance, then get a call when I'm trying to rest and recover, "Where are you?!" I called in. Check the messages NOT from your corporate handlers.
