The hooded figures emerge into a refrigerator, wearing large rubber gloves (despite both lacking thumbs). The larger of the two is holding what appears to be a large black brick, with a bite taken out of it. A tub of steaming liquid nitrogen is revealed, and the brick is dumped into it with an unceremonious thunk and a healthy dollop of cream. The small figure removes the resultant globule with a pair of chemical tongs, before dumping it in an ice-cream churner. It crunches and crackles as it devours the plastic, producing a delightfully toxic-looking treat after several minutes.

What a horrible, horrible console, if only for the name. It was called the PC Engine over here in the UK, and Im not sure which is worse. Theres almost nothing notable to have come out on it that wasnt released elsewhere prior, unless you enjoy very niche JRPGs or the most realistic driving games the early 90s had to offer. I suppose it got the first four Ys games? And it was more powerful than the SNES! It also came about as a result of Hudsoft (Bomberman developers) getting rejected as Nintendos manufacturers, and its technical capabilities really showed that consoles having that bit of oomph gives them an edge in the market. Yeah, giving this thing a power role would be offensive.
