As for the song itself, it's also fairly nice. It's cute enough that I feel comfortable saying that I like it, but it doesn't do too much to stand out musically or lyrically from other cute vtuber songs. "I burned the shadows of memories into my eyes" is a particularly tragic line. Yeah, I like this one; it's not the saddest or most tragic, but there's enough pain and sadness that it fits reasonably well into the category of songs I'm looking for. ====================== - ====================== Yuru - Sometimes: https://youtu.be/oJXbRQJfWSI Estimated Score: 52.46 Well, this was certainly a drastic departure in style from all the previous songs. I'm not quite sure what to make of it since it's so far removed from what I had come to expect. I... don't think I particularly like it; something about the computerized instruments is... not great. But it's different enough that I want to keep it somewhere in the positive side of scoring because I could see myself coming back to this song occasionally... "hey, remember that weird song with the chubby cat in a chubby cat-shaped spaceship in the background???" feels like the type of thought that I will have at some point in the future. ====================== - ====================== Yuru - It's Nyan! (Looking at the thumbnail I see it back at "Signal Love", as well as in some songs that have yet to be reached). Aaanywho, something about this track is reminding me of that PHYS song from the second ranking topic. ...or whatever that company's name was. You remember it, the one with that child vtuber & Virtual Cat singing about... some company for... contest reasons, I think. This song isn't really on that level, but it's fun and reminiscent of a song that I love, so I think it's close to the 70 point tier. Has some rain sounds for the outro. I like rain and this type of sweetness, so I'd give it a very slight edge over the exactly 60 point songs. ====================== - And I think I shall take a break here and finish the other songs from the playlist tomorrow. It's been a while since I tried going through so many songs in a row... I did listen to the next track (Secret Base Lab), which is a much faster song that's kinda making me dizzy.
