That's just straight up not true for everyone. The amount of chests I would get to with a weapon worse than everything in my inventory was awful. Getting rupees or materials to upgrade my gear were far, far better than finding copy 1902187123908 of a weapon I've already seen before. If the weapons had literally any complexity to them at all then maybe, but when the games combat is as simple as it is with only a few weapon types that ALL play the same way...it's stupid.
