No matter how much you try to portray yourself as not "something dying and thrashing in the water", if they're close enough and already aware of your presence they're likely to still investigate. Well, polar bears are actually aggressive towards humans and will attack just to kill us. Grizzlies are more defensive than anything and they'll fight to defend their young, territory, or foodn Black bears are the ones you're most fortunate to encounter because you can likely scare them off by being loud and "big". itcheyness posted... Great Whites don't typically eat people though, they take a bite and leave because they hate the taste. If they haven't found any... remains yet, odds are it was a Tiger Shark. They'll basically eat anything. It's common to find garbage like license plates in their stomachs when they're caught and gutted. White tips and great whites are 2 different breeds. White tips actually enjoy killing and eating people, they are believed to be the main culprits of that U.S.S. ship that went down.
