Welp, I just finished the game. It was a fun and good experience. I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. But here are what I thought are the flaws and I'm sure it's not a hot take.

The game felt rushed and incomplete. They really push you into one thing to another without much breaks or dialogue. They Chrono Crossed this game a lot: Made the game much darker than previous games, not much info is given about previous MCs, fucked up old world for this new one, giant lore dump near the end game. They have a lot of the same goofie EB humor returning which was a good thing.

They really wanted to hit the feels early on so you can relate to the characters and story but it didn't do much for me. Took to like chapter 4 for things to get going. Really did not like playing the characters solo early on. Game didn't reach its full potential until you get the 4 MCs, and Boney is kinda of a waste of a MC, IMO. Game is definitely a lot harder than EB.

The biggest flaw to me is the setting. In EB, they set the tone right away with its humor and horror. The childish and yet erie music really makes a big part of the EB. Mother 3 is missing one of the biggest setting that makes the series what it is; aliens. It's what made the game erie and mysterious with all of its humor. It's a fun game but it can't touch EB.
