I used to consider 64 as my favorite game of all time I beat it like 10 times It's my "go to" game for when I don't feel like playing anything else But All those times I played on PC. On emulator. Used SaveStates sometimes. (Not abusing them, but merely as "checkpoints" here and there) And...2 months ago I played it again. On the Switch. And I don't know if it's because I hate the Switch controls or because of the lack of save states...but I suffered. It wasn't fun at all! The game is far, far too punishing. A single mistake and you get kicked off the stage. Mario getting burned and "aha ha hah ah aha" himself to death or very precise cannon shots or getting kicked to outside the castle when you die in "Wing Mario over the Rainbow". But the worst offender is THE DAMN CAMERA Maybe one day they will remake Mario 64 and give it a real, 360 camera that you can move with a stick. Maybe then I will play it again --- wololo ...
