I will do my big spoiler-opinions up front though:
While they do a good job of kicking your ragtag group of rebellious idiots around with a superior force at first, impressing upon the need to retreat and regroup, the entire Othard/Hingashi arc feels completely shoehorned in - but it was so much better than The Fringes and The Peaks that I almost forgot the whole reason we were in Gyr Abania to begin with, which made the overall 4.0 story of the MSQ fall flat, even with how much I love The Lochs as a zone. The post-ending patch content on the leadup to ShB is much better, fortunately.
In terms of gameplay, it probably feels much better than it did when it was current now that the MP/TP split is no longer a thing, at least, but I joined near the end of Stormblood's life. I remember Bard's dungeon-suicide button. Press F(oe Requiem) to pay respects.
