No one will stand up for you if you don't stand up for yourself.

I'm in a supervisor role at my job and used to keep my work phone on me at all times to answer questions from other drivers. My employer and manager don't recognize the extra work I put in because they're unaware of it, and I'm not the type of person to herald my own actions, so all this behavior goes unnoticed and unrewarded.

Made the decision to shelve my work phone during my off-duty hours and while there's been some drop-off in productivity it's nothing catastrophic and we just play catch-up when I'm back on duty.

If you're not on-call or otherwise contractually obligated to perform work duties during your off hours, ignore your job. Enjoy your time off. Those messes your coworkers made can wait, or your employer can pay you to be a hero. Make them recognize the value you bring to them. Because if you're willing to fix these mistakes for free, they're going to keep exploiting you until you decide to stand up for yourself.

If you sleep deep in hell I have chains to bind you
