I'll take a thousand Ikarugas, or Radiant Silverguns, or R-Types that have unique mechanics that fundamentally alter play over yet another generic bullet hell whose entire gimmick is having a fanbase of "thousand year old loli" lovers. But Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun and R-type are wayyy more memorisation-heavy than almost any touhou game, and all also have one-hit kills.
