It's just fun, easy listening music. At the same time, I have to admit it's very ephemeral music, like cotton candy that just melts away almost immediately. That is to say that while it's great fun in the moment, it doesn't have "staying power" or "message" of something like SOPHIE's album. So there's this sort of dichotomy in my mind of subjectively liking this more, while at the same time, knowing this is objectively not as "good" of an album in a more critical sense. Listening to Desired, Spotify linked me to this Future Funk playlist, which is also great fun.
