High five, Ziggy

Though in retrospect I may have overrated this considering I only really loved the second story in this anthology. I had such high hopes for the first act and it ended up just being... there. The most horror-themed of the three was far and away my least favorite, and it's kind of a tough sell to have that one open the film. As I already implied before, I loved the story of the delusional rat realtor attempting to sell the carpet beetle-invested house he's toiled to renovate only to have all his efforts blow up in his face, but the third and final act is where all the heart is. I'm not going to say it's my favorite act, but if I had to name an objective best Rosa's tale would be it. My only issue is that the protagonist becomes fairly unlikable over the course of the plot. At first I sympathized with her because it seemed like her roommates were kind of taking advantage of her friendship. I mean come on, my guy, paying with fish is never an acceptable form of payment. Once it becomes apparent that the house is essentially doomed and Rosa is stubbornly clinging to the past my opinion of her did an about face, and then I couldn't really root for anyone because by this point pretty much everyone in this story had proven themselves to be at least a bit of an awful person- erm... cat. Despite not liking any of the characters it still told a wonderful heartwarming story that I did fall asleep on at one point.
