This is one of the few N64 cartridges that I still have left (seriously, it feels like my N64 collection has shrunken over the past 20 years and I'm not sure why).

Yeah, it's a cool game and not many people have played it. Maybe because it (visually) looks like some generic branded racing game and doesn't immediately stand out as part of the "Nintendo series". But the core mechanic of a turbo button that you have to limit to avoid overheating was distinctly recreated in this game so you can feel how it actually is a sequel to the NES game. The tracks are a mix of indoor dirtbike tracks and outdoor wildnerness tracks and the outside ones are much more interesting by design (although I'd probably appreciate the indoor tracks more as an adult than I did as a kid).

There's also a full sized track editor in the game which has surprising depth. That's another thing that was in NES Excitebike which they managed to adapt to 3D.
