Sure, you move your robot friend back and forward in a loop, but that's not what time travel is. In fact, the game is very clear about showing you that no matter what direction you're going, you're not doing time travel. I mean, unless you are being super literal about going through the linear progression of time at the normal rate technically counting as "traveling through time" because that's all that's occurring here.
