And that is the reason why I don't think XVI is going to have much success next year. Everyone's just going to back their old favorites and XVI is going to suffer for it. Yeah now that there's some space from the release/playthrough hype, "XVI is the new XV" probably will check out. I could still see Cid being a dark horse if he's able to last long enough to pick up support when people's first (and second?) priorities start dropping though.
