oh wait i forgot i bought a l500mk2 on the stax website for like $830 last summer omg. i was just looking at the amazon orders. this was the last over-ear i bought. i like them a lot it just lacks bass. they can be modded to have bass (apply bluetack under the earpad area lol) but i also saw this affects the mids/treble region and i already like that region by default so im just putting a +12db bass shelf in the bass area this doesn't even make the bass that loud just audible enough at 30 hz (without eq 30 hz is almost gone). i also put a pair of l700 earpads on them since measurements (from oratory1990's old website) show it to be like 99% the same frequency response as the l700 (basically l500 with l700 earpads = almost identical to l700 headphone).
