A lot of it stems back to Christianity's early days. Many blamed Jews for Christ's crucifixion. Even after, they were a minority religion in a predominately Christian Europe in a time where conformity to the Christian Church was expected. They were also seen as usurers and accused of blood libel. In more modern times fascists used them as scapegoats and white supremacists have carried such rhetoric ever since. Add all of that up and you've got yourself roughly 2000 years of antisemitism.

You'd think Christians should be thankful. He died for their sins so the scripture reads. So if true it worked out to their favor
