like you have to type /map to open up the map instead of for comparison XIV you just press M also in XI you have to purchase maps for each area, until you do you'll get a blank page on your map that just say you don't have the map I'm still a fan of the game but you absolutely have to reset your brain to early 2000s MMOs you can use add-ons like Windower to like add a mini-map (that's still very shitty), or tell you when you can use Weaponskills in a skill chain (or magic burst)... which is honestly very strongly recommended and I have no idea how people play the game without that add-on --- http://gmun.moe/ffcc GuessMyUserName's account's very own account! ...
