I don't know how conservation efforts became a liberal thing. I was raised fairly conservatively but we were taught the value of nature. I was a boy scout so preserving nature was kind of a big deal and no one would claim they are a liberal organization. Also it was Teddy that created the national park service.

The fact that something like that became political is just ridiculous. We should all care about nature and the health of the planet.
