Yep. The entire team history of the Oilers franchise is owned by the re-branded Titans.

That's the case when most franchises change cities (i.e., the Minnesota Twins have the history of the Washington Senators), though there have been exceptions, like in the case of the Cleveland Browns where the 2nd iteration of the franchise retains the history of the first because of some agreement between the city, the league, and the Baltimore Ravens ownership.

I believe Seattle may have something similar worked out to Cleveland whenever they can bring the Supersonics back into the NBA. (They moved to OKC 15-16 years ago)
