When I was younger, I had strategy guides of a bunch of games, including MKDA. They showed each fatality through like 4 or 5 screenshots. This was the main way of me learning about the Neck Stretch and it scared the shit out of me as a kid. Watching it in motion makes it way funnier.

I have a similar story to this. I had a guidebook with guides for a bunch of games, and one of them was Mortal Kombat Trilogy. The guide have movelists for every character, and described what their finishers were. Kano's fatality where he pulls the opponent's skeleton out stuck with me, especially since the book didn't have pictures so I had to imagine what the moves looked like. In fact, when I played Deadly Alliance, my first Mortal Kombat game, I picked Kano first because I remembered him from this book.
