509. Hat Decapitation (Kung Lao, MKG)

For this fatality, Kung Lao throws his hat and beheads the enemy. For his other one in this game, he throws his hat, beheads the enemy, then it comes back and cuts them again. This is just a shorter version of his other fatality. Not to mention, the side angle means we dont get to see the action as well because Kung Lao does his win pose at the worst possible moment.

508. Self-Destruct (Cyrax, MK4)

This fatality is a downgrade from the MK3 version because that one was snappier and had more going on visually. Cyraxs wrist computer flashed as he input the self-destruct sequence, displays flashed up on the screen, and everything was generally snappier. Here, Cyrax stands there waiting for the bomb to go off. He could have at least T-posed to assert his dominance or something.

507. Spirit Melt (Ashrah, MKD)

The opponent is disintegrated in an admittedly nice looking light show, but thanks to technological limitations, pieces disappear or fall off one by one. Interestingly, this is one of the few fatalities where the opponent stops screaming once they lose their head.

Here we have another fatality that looked better in 2D. The inflation effect is too short and minor, and the opponent deflates again before they explode.
