This also reminds me of the Ren and Stimpy episode where Ren rips Stimpys skin off so it can sneak past the baboon. Skinless Stimpy with his internal organs and nervous system on display is equal parts nauseating and hilarious. 494. Godly Essence (Raiden, MKD) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaGXYiy6m4Y This is the move Raiden uses in Deceptions opening FMV to try and defeat Onaga. Its always cool when fatalities get used outside of gameplay. Unfortunately, that doesnt make up for Raiden blowing himself up looking a lot less intentional ingame. 493. Soul Invasion (Liu Kang, MKD) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wis649lgGE Liu Kangs zombie phase in Deception meant he could no longer turn into a dragon or drop arcade cabinets on people, but recreating Scooby Doo with the rest of the cast is the next best thing, right? Lets see whos behind the mask Liu Kangs head on everyone elses bodies is such a silly idea and is more fitting for Shang Tsung, but I cant help laughing anyway. 492. Kold Fusion (Cyber Sub Zero, MK9) 491. Brain Freeze (Cyber Sub Zero, MK9) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0Yo80XxJR8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLvTorAKCwk We finish for today with the first Netherrealm era fatalities to drop, and they both belong to the same character. Kold Fusions freezing glomp is a nice idea, but is let down by the fact that the loser actually outlives the winner, the ultimate mark of shame for a fatality. Brain Freeze is a tame fatality that would fit right into MK VS DC, but causing internal injuries with little external damage sets it apart in terms of originality. This means Cyber Sub Zero is the second character to lose all of their fatalities, and the first character who had more than one fatality. Youre outta here, Cyb Zero!
