425. Fire Shot (Liu Kang, MK4)

Liu Kang throwing the opponent towards the camera makes good use of the new 3D camera to do something that wasnt possible in the previous games. Yeeting the opponent also obscures Liu Kangs fireball slightly, which is a good thing here as it adds to the surprise of what will happen next. Ive always wondered, do Liu Kangs noises mean anything, or is it just foreign sounding gibberish? Here it sounds a bit like hes saying Pikachu Dubya Manolo, you get number 2! With this being his second fatality in the game, its possible there is a meaning after all.

424. Target Practice (Lex Luthor, MK VS DC)

This is a good example of a fatality thats held back by being in this specific game. Those rockets do as much damage as they can under the circumstances, but you cant help but think if this was any other Mortal Kombat game, the opponent would have been blown to bits by that bombardment.

423. Kahn-sequences (Shao Kahn, MK11)

You fricking fricks cannot be quenched! When will you learn that your actions have Kahn-sequences? If getting your smashed into your body, then having it fall out when the body is cut from underneath it doesnt teach you that lesson, nothing will.

422. Certain Death (Predator, MKX)

Each area Predator shoots his opponent corresponds to one of his victims from the first film, which is a nice touch. The opponent screaming in pain while Predator lines up the kill shot also works well. Overall, this is still lesser than some of his brutalities and his win animation.

421. Headshot (Kai, MK4)

Is there any Mortal Kombat character more forgotten than Kai? Other one-and-done characters like Hsu Hao and Drahmin are at least remembered for how unpopular they were, but poor Kai doesnt even get that much. Its a little weird how he can float, but I dont mind it because it helps sell how dominant he is over his opponent here.
