Topic	Madame Web reviews are coming out and it's getting shredded

But it still annoys me to no end that people are so starved for good live-action Venom content that they accept those trash ass movies. Based on my anecdotal experience, I don't think it was Venom / comic book fans who propelled Venom to smash hit status. It had the benefit of coming out at just the right time to be an antidote to the 'you have to keep track of 20 different movies' MCU by being an obvious one-off 'check your brain at the door' action flick / CGI spectacle.
