It's that time again!

THE SHORT VERSION:

1: Everyone starts with four regular nominations that can be used on any kind of song & one extra nomination that may only be used on a character theme. Because I want to guarantee a few character themes get mixed in.

2: You get an extra five regular nominations every week! We'll say new nominations every Saturday starting on March 2nd. Use whatever timezone you want, so long as it's Saturday somewhere on Earth in the dimension this topic exists in.

3: Looking for 300 nominations in total. Nominations will remain open until we reach that point.

4: The preferred nomination format:

ARTIST NAME -OR- SOURCE MATERIAL | SONG NAME (Song Length)

Nominator: Name you wish to be known as. If you want to be notified when a song of yours is eliminated, feel free to do the @[your name here]

Character: If nominating a character theme -or- a song performed by a fictional character, list them here. Just delete this line or leave blank if it's not applicable.

You don't *have* to follow this format, but then I'll have to convert your nominations to the format myself and it'd be super cool if I could just copy things.

5: Please, only one song over ten minutes per nominator and no songs over 25 minutes. Exceptions may be made if you ask nicely; it's not a hard rule.

6: You can combine songs together as one song -if- you genuinely feel they need to be treated as one song, such as The Megas History Repeating Pts 1 & 2 which very much do not work as separate tracks. Use your own judgement on when that's appropriate.

7: There are no restrictions on multiple versions of the same song or doing a bunch of songs by the same artist. They're your nominations, do whatever you want with them.

8: You MAY nominate songs from past ranking topics. There are over a thousand and it's way too much effort to avoid all of them. That being said, you can find lists of past rankings at the following pages, should you want them for anything:

THE LONG VERSION:

And we're back! Been a while, hasn't it? The nominations for the last full ranking ended January 2022. And while there was a lengthy post ranking for extra songs, it's been over two years since anyone had a chance to nominate a song for a detailed ranking from me. And I really want to work on a large project of some kind... so here we go again, with me (hopefully) diving into a rather large number of songs selected by you, the Board 8 Universe. And anyone else I manage to drag here from other boards.

Alas, I am no longer able to do overwhelmingly massive ranking topics, so we're going back to basics with a more modest amount of 300 songs. This is still a LOT of songs, but it's an amount I feel comfortable with. Well, reasonably comfortable at least--I haven't quite been myself the past few months, which is part of why I want to throw myself into a project. Will I go back to what passes for normal? Will this ranking wind up drastically different due to the change in mental state? WHO KNOWS? We'll find out together. Expect lots of roleplaying as various characters and talking to myself as I work through emotions. Probably. Again, who knows what the write ups will actually look like? I certainly didn't plan on turning into the TaleSpin version of Shere Khan last topic, so we'll see if anything that novel happens this time!
