Okay, since this topic is popping up rather suddenly and I want to give people a chance to notice it, we'll be starting with a rather modest number of nominations: 4 typical wildcard nominations that you can do anything with & 1 special nomination that should be used on the theme song of a specific character. Why? Because I want a few character themes. You may, of course, use your regular nominations on more character themes if you wish--that is neither encouraged nor discouraged.

...That being said, I want 300 songs and it'd take 60 people nominating a full set of songs to reach that goal and that's not likely to happen. So every Saturday, starting on March 2nd, everyone will gain an additional 5 standard nominations! Just use your own timezone or any timezone you want to determine when it's Saturday, I'm not the time police. Not yet, anyway.

As always, anything that could charitably be considered a song is fair game for nominations. Commercially released songs, covers, remixes, mashups, jingles, themes, VGMs, parodies, AI content, whatever. I ask that you limit yourself to only one long song, with long being defined as anything over ten minutes long. And nothing over twenty-five minutes. Honestly, if you *really* have your heart set on two long songs, we can talk about it--it's not exactly a hard limit, but at least ask first?

I'm probably going to be rather lenient when it comes to defining what a character theme is. Songs that are literally character themes are preferred, but I'd say any original song performed by a fictional character is fair game; so songs from The Chipmunk Adventure soundtrack would be fair game (original music created for the fictional characters to sing), but covers of hit songs wouldn't.

Yes, wrestlers count as characters, so wrestler themes work. Yes, I'll count vtubers as fictional enough so long as they're performing an original song. I'm really not interested in trying to police this category too strongly.

Combining songs into a single nomination slot is okay, just only do it when you legitimately believe it's the way the songs need to be heard? Like... don't exploit this to get extra songs in, but obviously there are some songs that seamlessly transition into each other that should be treated as one track. I'm leaving this entirely to your judgement.

The exact format of the ranking--as well as if there'll be any smaller sub-rankings--will be determined later. I will say all songs will get a minimum of three listens and be scored on a 100 point system:

100: I love these songs and want them to win.
90.00~99.99: I love these songs, though I don't see them getting first place.
80.00~89.99: I kinda love these songs!
70.00~79.999: I really like these songs!
60.00~69.99: I like these songs!
55.00~55.99: I kinda like these songs.
50.01~54.99: My feelings towards these songs are more positive than negative.
50.00: I feel nothing about these songs.
40.00~49.99: My feelings towards the song are more negative, but they're fine. These are fine songs.
30.00~39.99: I did not like these songs.
20.00~29.99: I quite actively disliked these songs.
10.00~19.99: I like finding songs that I hate, so I thank you for this.
0.01~09.99: I hate these songs strongly enough I'm considering not thanking you for the nomination.
00.00: I... don't think I give scores this low even as jokes anymore, so congratulations on completely breaking me if you pull this off.

Any song with the exact same score is considered to be tied, except at the 100 point category which is not tied unless otherwise stated. Raetsel Raetsel Incorporated reserves the right to have any number of songs tie at any position of the rankings,, including ties for first & last place. Let's say *certain aspects* of me still regret not doing the five way tie for first place last topic and I may very well do something like that this time. I also may not. I don't know what you'll nominate or how I'll react to it, I'm just keeping all options on the table.

"Try not to take any of the rankings too seriously. Expect lots of random text-based actions, tail wagging, alternate accounts, running gags, comedic exaggerations, and a lack of coherent or insightful write ups. I don't understand much about music and my thought processes tend to be alien; that being said, every song's placement does reflect how I genuinely feel about it. It's more "I do not suppress my true nature or adhere to any standards of quality" than an actual joke topic.
