Those were so damn good. How did they decide to stop carrying them? They were sold out pretty often.

It may have been due to a few reasons:
1) Some items just rotate out despite popularity in order to make room for new items, or to not compete with other dessert items they wanted to sell more of, i.e. the Cinnabon bites
2) Having to deep fry them on-site may have created time-crunches on their staff that they didn't want
3) It's very possible that a health conscious factor was in play, similar to why McDonald's stopped deep frying their apple pies
