most apartment things don't want it, though, because they can't ensure you've actually done it right which, given the finicky nature of hoses, could pop off (which might be what you meant? i'm high rn so bear with me here) it was never about the pipes themselves, it's just an excuse they use but, again, if the pipes can handle regular sink draining and just general faucet use, then it'd have no issues --- see my gundams here https://imgur.com/a/F7xKM5r updated 2/28/24; hg rising freedom ...
