Whereas the chance that maybe what we know about reality is wrong and portals to other dimensions where fairies exist, it's still basically 0 but it's at least 0.0001%. If a fairy appeared, I'd go "wow, idk I guess this stuff exists after all" (and if it did, fairies are actually able to fly around and go to houses) whereas a walrus would be like "what. this is impossible." ...
