Topic	RIP Akira Toriyama; creator of Dragonball
superman_2000 03/08/24 1:00:55 PM #293:	Even though I think Dragon Ball is laughably overrated, I respect and admire Toriyama for his one-of-a-kind art style and pioneering some of the coolest tropes in anime (characters charging their bodies like batteries, big flashy energy blasts, super fast and destructive fights, etc.). Dude was undoubtably a trend-setter whose influence can be felt in so many other franchises, from Sonic the Hedgehog to Tekken. I'd say he earned his spot as a legend. --- I don't hold grudges.
