I mean lets not pretend that NSMBWii wasnt a massive deal. That game A) brought multiplayer into the series which became the default, B) brought the platformers back into the mainstream in a way they hadnt been for a while and lowkey helped revive 2D platformers as a genre on home consoles, and C) was one of the main selling points for the Wii at its peak. It just wasnt appealing to people who might post on Board 8.

Either way I get the Bros 3 takes now, it just really feels like Bros 3 and World overlap too much. It would feel like only celebrating a tiny slice of Mario. So World actually feels like the game that shouldnt make it as that was just iterating on Bros 3.
