I get what he means by that statement but at the same time it would be grave injustice to the civilian victims and those who died trying to defend Ukraine if they surrendered. So now they are in a incredibly difficult position where they have to keep fighting and more people have to keep dying for the cause or do they surrender and less people die but they also dishonor those who were killed or have sacrificed themselves against the Russian invaders. IMO might as well fight to the last and not give Putin the satisfaction of a surrender. That's nonsense. Honor and morality have little to do with it.
