His message wasn't just, "it's okay to criticize both sides" with a literal monologue saying the country is fucked no matter who wins. So while I wouldn't call him alt right, and frankly I don't think anyone seriously called him that, he most definitely was providing unwilling help to Trump. His "message" isn't doing the country any favors when undecided swing voters are what determines elections. Undecided swing voters who, oh btw go around claiming both sides are bad. With someone like Stewart, regurgitating that narrative. The magnitude difference of Trump and Biden is not even close to being the same.
