I've never gotten a speeding ticket for actually speeding. The only speed related ticket I've ever gotten was for an accident on ice when I first started driving. I was basically told that the ticket was mandatory for accidents unless I want to spend the time and money in court proving that there was nothing I could have done to not get in an accident/wasn't speeding somehow.
