I prefer to play Lucky for Life. Top prize is $1,000 a day for the rest of your life (or 20 years, whichever is longer), and the odds of winning the grand prize are ten times better than Mega Millions. The odds of winning anything at all are 1 in 8, compared to 1 in 24 for Mega Millions, and the minimum prize is $3; Mega Millions has a minimum prize of $2. Both cost $2 each. I spend about $5 for every $1 I win on Lucky for Life, compared to about $24 for every $1 won with Mega Millions.
