He translated the banking information. Isn't that what accountants are for, and you can' t get the bank information in Japanese? No bookie would take on 4.5 mil in bets unless he knew the there was money to back it up. Where did the winnings go? There's gotta be a win if there is a total of 4.5mil debt. The translator was not making anything close to 4.5mil. Ohtani knew, Ohtani bet. If he bet on baseball in any capacity then he should be banned or baseball bring back Pete Rose and he's in the HOF.
