How exactly are these sites supposed to police this? Not being funny but I was over 18 for years back when I was young. I'm not comfortable giving social media sites any form of my ID with all the breaches they've had over the years.

On top of that, pretty fascist to place so many limits on people. Isn't that the opposite of freedom?

EDIT: Companies that fail to do so could be sued on behalf of the child who creates an account on the platform. The minor could be awarded up to $10,000 in damages, according to the bill. Companies found to be in violation of the law would also be liable for up to $50,000 per violation, as well as attorneys fees and court costs.
So if hypothetically my children were to make accounts on all the social media sites, I could sue them for $10k each? Sounds like I need to get in on this...
