Yup. The two actually good classes were HUcast (who had over 200 attack over the next highest class) and FOnewm (the only male newman class). Then a little under half were okay/workable based on how you wanted to play (some were good at soloing but not great for parties), and the remainder had no reason to exist, balance wise. HUmar, HUcaseal, RAmar, RAcaseal, FOmarl, and FOnewearl had nothing meaningful they could do better than other, competing classes. The advantages they had were either minor enough they could be ignored, or could be easily compensated for with gear by the time it could attempt to stand out. Fun fact about me I always hated star wars and Sci fi in general and personally thought light sabers where stupid somehow really liked phantasy star. But I'm a sucker seeing elves in other settings besides high fantasy and let's face it numans are space elves from a design standpoint. Similarly shadow run got me into the cyberpunk genre for similar reasons. Well I didn't realize at the time robocop sorta fits into the cyberpunk genre --- I put my heart and soul into my work and I fear I have lost my mind in the process ... Copied to Clipboard! |
