As a victim of one of these when I suddenly lost my job and was terrified about taking care of my 6 month old baby, I hope everyone involved with these junk insurance scams gets savagely beaten to a pulp (not sure the mods will allow what id like to say). They are pure evil. They fucking straight up lie to you. Thank God I was able to cancel the card they had on file so no further payments could be taken and my bank reimbursed the fraudulent charges, but yeah they are absolute predators. They monitor who is trying to apply for government healthcare and will call pretending to be a representative of Medicaid and then say youre not eligible for that but are eligible for this OTHER plan.
