All these movies/TV series about boring subjects.

Why does this warrant a movie? Why did We Work warrant a show? Why did Super Pumped warrant a show?

People are just making movies about things now. Beanie Babies, Poptarts, Dating Apps, Uber, Apple, the question is why and who is this for? At least the Gamestop movie was about something interesting and told in a humorous manner. But even then, that was pushing it.

I've always said that as long as something is written well, acted well, and a good quality movie, it doesn't matter, but I also think that a plot needs to be interesting. Are we going to make a movie about Liz Truss? How about Sean Hannity? Or Dave Portnoy? Ed Werder? Jerry Jones? Mayorkas? The Spanx founder? Lulu Lemon founder? The origin of Levi Jeans? I mean wtf is happening here? I understand that Hollywood struggles to make original films, but jfc, make something interesting at least. Do a Henry Ford movie, he was a prominent figure that was completely in line with Nazi's, that's instantly intriguing, especially for a figure that's basically been white washed by history. In school we were taught Ford was a good guy philanthropist. As an adult, you learn he was openly rooting for Nazi's. Do that movie. Make a movie about Boss Tweed or some shit. Do a movie about someone with substance, not just a person doing a thing and then cashing out.
