I mentioned that it's hard for any song to really compete with King K. Rool in terms of characterization, but man this is quite literally an entire story being told. I've tried avoiding any Stray Gods spoilers because I do really want to play it, but you really don't need much context for this song. It's literally all spelled out right there. Everything you'd need to know about the characters relationships to each other, to Athena, to what's happened prior. Hell, even the mental state is shown pretty clearly by the inflections of the singers, with Grace getting increasingly more desperate until it clicks in her that she does actually have a way to talk herself out of the situation.

The villainy is a little trickier, as Medusa wanting to petrify Grace and eat her is, yes, obviously villainous. But she doesn't actually do so, and by the end of the song comes across as more insecure than vicious, even if she did come close to doing something evil. Judging it for melody is tricky as well; it's a type of talk-singing I've never heard in a game before (or even most musicals) and while it's not like catchy or something I'd want to add to my playlist, I did still enjoy it. This is in no small part because Laura Bailey is a really good singer, but I also really dug the the weird sort of distorted background music.
