It was one thing for a new Tifa weapon to be in the desert rush minigame because I got that pretty quick, but the first appearance of Time materia was top prize in the initial Pirate's Rampage. Which I was so bad at. So it's like, am I going to grind an hour on getting top score in this minigame I'm not good at to get Time materia or just proceed with the story where I'm dying to see what happens next? I think I just left it there in the end and went back later for it... Time was first purchasable in Cosmo Canyon iirc.
