Super Mario World
Donkey Kong Country
Street Fighter II
Chrono Trigger

SMW/DKC are basically in by default. SMW is the big launch game, spawned Yoshi - a pretty prominent character on this system - and is probably the most widely played game. DKC1 was the late life big swing that pushed the system over the Genesis at the end and its cultural impact far outshines DKC2 and 3's so that's why 1 is the first pick). The SNES being the first home console to get a decent SF2 port was a HUGE deal back in the day, at least on par with Genesis MK1 having the blood in it. It's still one of the most famous and best-selling 3rd party games on any Nintendo console, and I think it's very difficult to say SF2 didn't have at least a little impact on the SNES's success.

Originally I had LTTP in the last slot and yeah I'm not going to pretend LTTP shouldn't be here, but I also think a SNES rushmore would look ridiculous without an RPG and although Chrono Trigger may not be the most famous (that's probably FF6), it is probably the most "SNES" to me. That and I really wanted SF2 and viewed LTTP as more expendable than SMW or DKC.

other HMs: Super Metroid, Final Fantasy IV/VI, Super Mario Kart, Mega Man X, Star Fox, Earthbound, DKC2, Yoshi's Island, F-Zero, Super Mario RPG, Secret of Mana, Killer Instinct, Kirby Super Star
