At first, I was hung up on the Cage, unable to make 16 without completely getting blocked by Sudoku. Then I realized the Cage rule doesn't care about numbers, and things went well from there.
Then I got to where I had all the fours and twos in the puzzle, but had a bunch of 1-3 and 5-6 pairs that I couldn't see how they'd be differentiated. I thought maybe it was a part of the joke that any of the four combinations left would work, plugged in numbers, and won! Then tried the opposite and it didn't, and I have no idea why one works but the other doesn't. I don't see any hidden Xs, I don't see any rules that would effect which goes where... help?
