The WNBA is not profitable. It literally cannot afford to pay Clark even close to NBA salaries.

That said, the NBA needs to decide what they want to do with the WNBA. Because if they ever want to be WNBA to be anything more than a side-show money sink, they need to actually invest it it, even if it means losing more money in the short-term. The fact that top-tier athletic talent would be better off becoming an accountant than playing in the WNBA is not how you grow a league. This is a case where you do in fact have to spend money to make money.

So while it might not be reasonable for Clark to make NBA dollars, the NBA does need to open up their pocket books and pay players more than they are getting now if they ever want to be taken seriously.

when yall say stuff like this it makes it painfully obvious yall dont know what youre talking about.

The WNBA has been profitable for a few years now which is why theyre going into the massive expansion plan with one team already announced with a second third and possibly fourth to come in the near future.

They also have a new tv deal after next year. Which is going to massively change the amount of money they make.

unless something catastrophic happens the WNBA will be thing million dollar contract within the next five years.

Theyve already been doing the investing your asking for.
