Ive been consistently within the 196-200 pound range lately. Its challenging to admit, but my family dynamics have been impacting my weight loss journey. My sister is currently going through a tough period, and as a result, shes practically moved in with me. Additionally, my parents visit every Wednesday-Sunday due to it. I want to clarify that Im not bothered by their presence; my home Casa CJ is always welcoming to them whenever they need it. However, this has inadvertently caused my weight loss efforts to stall. Moreover, my mom suggests that I should stop focusing on losing weight and questions the necessity of my twice-daily workouts. With all the serious issues my family is facing at the moment, Im at a crossroads and unsure about the next steps for my health goals.
i can relate with family issues getting in the way of your personal goals, not just health and fitness goals, but in general. i'll just say that it can be very stressful and irritating sometimes being a single man in his late 30s who still lives with his parents and doesn't have much of a social life. my best advice is to just ignore what they think and focus on doing what you believe is best for you. and be firm with setting boundaries.
