Read about this earlier. I'd bet money that this wasn't the first time the driver drove drunk and probably has at least one or more DUI charges under her belt. Drinking and driving is treated so lightly when it absolutely shouldn't be.From what a cop I know told me, the issue with DUIs is that they're a criminal statute so your normal traffic cop that's used to writing tickets all day for "minor" infractions will usually screw it up.
