It's been a few days, but here's an update. I've finished the first two dungeons, including collecting all the Stray Fairies for each. I've always felt that the reward for that in the first two dungeons was better than the last two (especially the very last dungeon). Also, I've fully upgraded both my quiver and bomb bag. I've also found most available Heart Pieces for where I'm currently at in the game. Lastly, I've also got Powder Keg certified.

What I'm most impressed with myself about with all this? This has ALL been done in the first three day cycle. I've only played the Song of Time once, and that was the required time when you get the Ocarina in the first place. I'm going to play it shortly after posting this, which will save a HUGE amount of progress.

I'm really appreciating how big of a quality of life improvement this game is over Ocarina of Time. It does a great job at feeling distinct, which is incredible given that many of the NPCs are reused from Ocarina of Time.

My biggest issue so far is the lack of dedicated mask buttons. This is similar to my complaint about Ocarina of Time. The D-pad really should have been used as mask buttons, even if it was just for the transformation masks. The Bunny Hood is so useful that I almost always have it set to a C button.

I'll continue plugging away. My next big priority is to get the Gilded Sword, Epona, and the Hookshot. Before I go to the next dungeon, I intend on doing a lot of sidequests. The Hookshot opens a huge amount of content up.
