The final 3 contestants, the final challenge. Whoever won this challenge pretty much gets to pick who he is taking to the finals with him. Would someone be able to stop MysteriousStan, who has proven himself quite strong after winning the last two challenges? The answer to that question will be answered below:

(** = failed to submit score)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Purple Team:
Dragon66116........................461,190
MysteriousStan.....................1,024,952
Mik_Pick..................................802,400

Average................................762,847
Participant Average...........762,847

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The answer is no, no one was able to stop MysteriousStan, it was however pretty close between him and Mik_Pick.

Well we can assume 2 things here: Dragon66116 will be voting for Mik_Pick, and Mik_Pick will be voting for Dragon66116. So who will MysteriousStan be voting for?

- MysteriousStan, you have until Tuesday May 29th, 11pm est to tell me who you are voting AGAINST (aka who you want to join the jury).

If you do not need that much time I'll get in touch with jury members earlier tonight, whenever you get your vote in, however if you do need to consult people or whatever, you have one day to do so if need be.

Dragon.

Well, I was going to say some stuff about each of you but I've decided to keep this rather short instead. Dragon, the gist of it is that before we were an alliance of four we were an alliance of two. Mik came to me before he contacted you and Edwards for a Final 2 deal. I agreed and we brought you two on. So now that I'm here and have to choose which one of you two to bring into the finals with me, I gotta honor my original deal with Mik. So yeah, nothing personal but that's the way it is. See ya soon for the jury vote.

pre-jury boot opinion incoming

you guys both deserve a lot of credit and you're both very unexpected (especially from a blue perspective >_>) so very well done. I didn't have much time to try and figure Red out, but I managed to get a little bit of info and what I got had me going around in circles and unable to do anything significant, so props you to guys for that also. I knew there was something going on but I just couldn't get the necessary pieces of the puzzle together.

I enjoyed your later game especially, as I had dreaded a zombie Red group just eliminating the blues and then walking into an oven one at a time. That did not happen and I enjoyed watching the game play out as it did, even though I was not one of the blues to fight on... (and I understand that too)

I have no bias in this game as I really don't know either of you and I would give my non-juror endorsement to Stan simply for challenge victories, but I know nothing of what transpired behind the scenes aside from the vote results, so i will not endorse either of you but will instead wish you both the best of luck. I have a really s***ty attention span and yet I've continued to follow this, meaning you guys have kept it damn interesting to me.

Congratulations to you both, and I will... "see you at the reunion"

Also if you've ever heard of me outside of this game, yes I am drunk >_< (but that's normal!)

Okay on the Jury we have:
Justin_Crossing, JeffreyRaze, tyder21, ff6man, cody11533, eaedward6400, and Dragon66116

- In a PM, send me a question you would like to send. One question for each MysteriousStan and Mik_Pick.

- I would also like for you have have one or two back-up questions for each final contestant (just in case your question or a question very similar is already asked).

- I will go down the questions in the order you put them, so put the main question first, then the back up questions in order of importance to you.

- Be sure to label which questions go to which player.

- Be sure to keep all questions related to this seasons B8 Survivor.

- I would rather you didn't use 'yes or no' questions, unless there is some sort of explanation afterwords.

- I would like all of this to be done no later than Wednesday, May 30th 11pm est (for those that need a bit of time to think).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After this step, I will go through the questions myself, then post them in a topic here. Then both MysteriousStan and Mik_Pick will PM me with the answers where I will then go through them and post them here both at the same time. The Jury will then go through the posts and PM me with their final votes. Just so you know how all of this will go down.

Here are the questions, 4 for the both of you and 3 each individual.

------------------- For Both MysteriousStan and Mik_Pick -------------------

From JeffreyRaze: For both of them I'd like to ask them what their views are on the balance of challenges and political maneuvering in this game

From Justin_Crossing: What steps did you take to coerce cody?

From ff6man: Why did you choose the game you did to turn on Valentine and the rest of red team? She had lost challenges previously and I know I, for example, didn't even start trying in challenges until I felt I needed to. I felt Valentine could have easily been knocked out when the time came, do you feel it was entirely necessary to get rid of her when we had a strong alliance, backed by her to thank for round after round of immunity?

From Dragon66116: What do you think you excelled the most at during this entire competition?

----------------------------- For MysteriousStan only -----------------------------

From JeffreyRaze: I'd also like to ask Stan how he got cody to join him instead of working with me and my comrades.

From eaedwards6400: Had I gotten to the Final 3 would have taken me to the finals or was that just a way of buttering me up? Be honest now.

From cody11533: If Mik had been voted out, what was your backup plan? How would it have changed at different points in the game (basically from the final 9 until the end)?

---------------------------------- For Mik_Pick only ----------------------------------

From eaedwards6400: Why was it that you voted me out?

From cody11533: As honestly and thoroughly as possible, describe the situation surrounding voting me out. Was I always destined for 5th once I sided with you, or were there factors that changed things? My challenge performances? What I did (or didn't) say? Because I was a blue? etc.

From Justin_Crossing
(back up): What was your alliance's logic in keeping Valentine alive when Caelus dethroned her?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- MysteriousStan and Mik_Pick, you both have until Saturday, June 2, 11pm est to answer these questions, as well as add any comments you'd like.

- I would prefer you send the answers via pm, although I know it will probably take more than one pm. This way I can post all of it at once when everything is in.

- Get everything answered early and I will post them early as possible. I am not trying to rush either of you, just saying is all.

---------------------------------- Mik_Pick ----------------------------------

From JeffreyRaze: For both of them I'd like to ask them what their views are on the balance of challenges and political maneuvering in this game

Answer: To me, Survivor is 70% political, 30% physical. Pre merge, it is important to perform above average in challenges, but not well enough to be the best on your team. As long as you're in the loop, and contributing in challenges, you can sail to the merge. It's when you hit the merge that the social game really kicks in, and politics become essential. By doing well enough in challenges pre merge, I was able to avoid becoming the primary threat to the blue team, while still gaining enough respect from contributing to the red tribe to be able to start an alliance. From then up until the final 4 or so I laid low in challenges, as I didn't have to do well, I knew my politics would take me to the end. Challenges only became important again in the final 4 when I had to ensure that Stan or I won immunity.

From Justin_Crossing: What steps did you take to coerce cody?

Answer: Persuading Cody to join us was quite easy, all I had to do is do what no other Red member was willing to do, give him a chance. I knew that if we simply got rid all of the blues, we'd come down to 8 red members, likely resulting in a 4v4 tie. Rather than risk going down in numbers from a tie breaker, I decided to win Cody's trust. Without revealing who else was in my alliance (Which could have put them at risk), I would tell Cody who to vote for, and when he proved that he had done so, I'd reveal a bit more information to him to keep him happy. To ensure that Cody was still around to be the swing vote at the final 9, I was sure to keep his name out of deliberations. I told Cody to lay low, so it was easy to convince everyone to vote for the other blue members instead.

Answer: Valentine had to go eventually, only due to her performances in challenges. If we let her reach the jury stage, she could easily blow everyone else out of the water all the way to the finals. We couldn't vote her out when she lost to Caelus (Will elaborate in Justin's 2nd question), but when she lost again, the numbers were right. Upon voting out Valentine, all that remained was my alliance of 5, 3 other red members, and 2 other blue members. Worst case scenario would be that in the next vote there would be a 5-5 tie. This would only happen if information of who was in our alliance leaked (I hadn't told Cody any names yet, so it couldn't have been through him), and the red members on the outside joined with the other blue members. In the end, the plan worked, and we got Valentine out without risking our spots in the final 5.

---------------------------------- Mik_Pick continued ----------------------------------

From Dragon66116: What do you think you excelled the most at during this entire competition?

Answer: Politics. I was responsible for the elimination of each member on the jury due to my political game. I was the one who initiated the alliance of myself, Stan, Edwards, Dragon, and eventually Cody. Since the merge I've been calling the shots to make sure we would be the final 5, and it worked. As I mentioned earlier in Jeffrey's question, I didn't need to do well in challenges since I knew my political game was that good. There were only two instances where things could have gone wrong for me. The first was when Cody chose to pretend to flip to the other alliance in order to get info without running things by me first. I had to talk him out of actually voting with the others, because that would have put us at a disadvantage in the numbers. The second was at final 4, I knew a tie was very possible. Which is why I brought Dragon and Edwards as far as I did, since I knew that Stan and I were capable of beating either in a tie breaker. I've always been very open with Stan, so I knew he'd stick with me.

From eaedwards6400: Why was it that you voted me out?

Answer: You were more of a threat than Dragon, both in challenges and in strategizing. As the game progressed it became clear that it would be better to face Dragon in the final 3 than you or Cody, as he would ultimately be the easiest to beat in the final immunity challenge. I also feel like you would have put in more of an effort than Dragon to sway Stan or I to take you to the final 2.

From cody11533: As honestly and thoroughly as possible, describe the situation surrounding voting me out. Was I always destined for 5th once I sided with you, or were there factors that changed things? My challenge performances? What I did (or didn't) say? Because I was a blue? etc.

Answer: The original plan was to vote you out in 8th place, so the rest of us four would have an advantage over the remaining red members. However after red unity was clearly no more I moved you up to definitely final 5, potentially final 3 depending on how the last few immunity challenges went. Where Dragon was the weakest in challenges in the jury stage though, I could no longer see you doing better than 4th place. When Stan won the F5 immunity, I would have been open to voting out Edwards first had Dragon and Stan wanted it, but in the end we agreed to keep the originally planned Final 4. Could I have pulled some strings? Probably, but I didn't want to risk breaking my strategic bonds with the others. With you doing scheming in the past (Trying to pull other blues into the alliance, and nearly voting against us), I couldn't let you closer to the finals, because you could have easily schemed to get me out and take Dragon or Stan to the finals instead.

---------------------------------- Mik_Pick final ----------------------------------

From Justin_Crossing (back up): What was your alliance's logic in keeping Valentine alive when Caelus dethroned her?

Answer: The reason we kept Valentine after she lost to Caelus was to avoid potential backlash. At that point in the game there were still 13 people left, and where Cody hadn't been fully pulled over from the blue team, we only had an alliance of 4. At this point in the game, the red tribe still believed we were all unified. Breaking this unity so soon into the merge could have easily caused a couple of red members to flip over to the blue tribe, and we would lose our numbers advantage. I would have to scramble to get everything back in order, so it just wasn't worth the risk. Valentine losing proved that she was mortal, so ultimately we waited until I secured Cody, and the numbers were low enough to safely blindside Valentine.

Closing Remarks: I hope that everyone can see that I played this game to win from Day 1. Pre merge my goal was to help the Red Tribe get to the merge with a numbers advantage, which I accomplished. Post merge my goal was to secure a tight alliance and lead them to victory, which I also accomplished. I orchestrated the blindside of Valentine, and was in control of a majority alliance up until the final 5. People would come to be, and listen to what I asked them to do. I think my management of Cody deserves to be recognized, as I believe that building a relationship with him was the key to our alliances success. While I had always planned on taking Stan to the end with me, I think him picking me over an easy win shows that I too formed a tight relationship with him over the course of the game. So I am asking the jury to put aside any personal feelings, and vote for the person who was directly responsible for voting out each of you, the person who managed to outwit, outplay, and outlast everyone.

----------------------------- MysteriousStan -----------------------------

From JeffreyRaze: For both of them I'd like to ask them what their views are on the balance of challenges and political maneuvering in this game

Answer: Hmm. Lets see, I think there was a good mix of old games and new games. A couple sequel games made it appear that there were more old games than there actually were but thats fine. I think most of the challenges themselves were skill orientated though a few did have an element of luck involved yeah. Of course, there were a few questionable ones that relied on how fast your computer ran (5 Minutes to Kill Yourself and probably Carrot Track) or had an exploitable aspect to them (Captain Commander and Space is Key) that simply made the game unpleasant to play. Unsurprisingly, those would rank lower on my list of favorite games played here (except one). But overall, Id say that the balance of games was pretty good, especially having Soul Brother as last which was basically a competition to see who could collect everything in the shortest amount of time with as few deaths as possible.

I think the political maneuvering this season was rather lacking. Most of it came from the Blue team as they started to fall behind. I dunno if any of us figured out what was going on with that team but it was obvious something was up. Us Reds just kinda sat back and were waiting for Blue to die out. I think the only real maneuvering done on Reds part was before anyone even started thinking about what we would do at Final 8 with all Red, Mik and I forming an alliance and brought in Edwards and Dragon (and our actions that came of that which included voting out Valentine and you guys before Cody) and you guys when you tried to vote out Edwards. Once that failed, you guys just sort of accepted it and went down one by one without really trying to make any deals to save yourself. So yeah, I dont think the political game was that hot this season, I believe it was much more a game of numbers and having the necessary votes to get what you wanted done.

From Justin_Crossing: What steps did you take to coerce cody?

Answer: Me personally? None. When cody and the other Blues were busying PMing all the rest of Red I was like the only one to never get a PM (what gives guys?). I talked to him twice in the game. The first time was the night you got voted out and he didnt know who the rest of Red was voting for so I told him it was going to be you. Good thing I was able to get that PM to him though because if Edwards gets voted out there this game goes a lot differently. The second time was at the final 5 where he again wanted to know who we were voting out and I told him Edwards. And thats about it.

I felt Valentine could have easily been knocked out when the time came, do you feel it was entirely necessary to get rid of her when we had a strong alliance, backed by her to thank for round after round of immunity?

Answer: Honestly, because it was the perfect time and if we pulled it off it essentially guaranteed Mik and I final 2. The numbers were just right for it. 3 Blue left, us 4, 3 Red with Valentines vote out. I knew that voting Valentine out would cause tension among Red and that if they found out we voted her out, they would want us out first (which is why I was against voting her out when Caelus lost). But you, Tyder, and Jeffrey couldnt turn on us until you had gotten rid of 1 more blue otherwise youd go into the final 6 tied with Blue. Which, btw, was the same reason we didnt want it to go to 8 Red left as our alliance would be tied if it came to that and who knows what would have happened. And if we had had Cody vote with us at 9 to vote out one of the other Red, well, that would have been a can of worms.

Problem for you ended up being voting out Paul instead of Cody since Cody had been voting with Mik (and consequently, our alliance and Red) for awhile now. From there, everything went according to plan. Justin got voted out next and you guys followed then it was cody. The only hitch to the plan was if Dragon sided with Edwards at Final 4 and Edwards managed to beat Mik/me (depending on who won immunity) in a tiebreaker. Ultimately, though Dragon did side with Edwards, even that fell into place and here we are, Final 2 just like we planned since let me check my PMs April 11th. So was it a dick move? Yeah, definitely. Do I regret it? Yes and no. I do regret that Valentine couldnt make the council (probably the one thing I regret this season) but at the same time it was the best move we could make for our alliance and is the reason Mik and I are here right now.

From Dragon66116: What do you think you excelled the most at during this entire competition?

Answer: Oh, easily the challenges. If I wasnt busy with school or personal things, I was always giving my all in the challenges. I dont care too much for the political game. Im much too lazy to bother going to people and strategizing and making alliances and stuff like that (at least early game, late game might be a different story). When I play these types of games on board 8, Im mostly really just in it for the fun of it. If I see an opportunity to win the whole thing though, Ill take it. Thats why I think Mik and I worked so well together. He liked the strategy part and I was content with the challenge part and when he gave me an opportunity to go to the end, I took it. Toward the end, I tried especially hard during the challenges because I didnt want to leave anything up to chance (you can see that most clearly in my Pel score >_>) and wanted to earn my spot in the Finals through challenge victories.

----------------------------- MysteriousStan continued -----------------------------

From JeffreyRaze: I'd also like to ask Stan how he got cody to join him instead of working with me and my comrades.

Answer: Well, like I said in response to Justins question, I didnt really talk to cody that much but it wasnt hard. I dont know the details but I think you all remember those times that Blue were PMing us, cody especially? I think it was around then that him and Mik started talking and working together and struck up some kind of relationship (and no, I dont believe this was the leak everyone on Red seemed convinced existed). Basically, he saw that Blue was slowly going down and was looking to get in with someone from Red. Mik capitalized on the opportunity and brought him in on our alliance. Though he wasnt aware of the other people in our alliance (me, Edwards, Dragon) until later. I believe Mik told him he could get cody to the Final 3 but from my PMs it looks like that was after Justin and you were voted out. Honestly, I think the reason he sided with us rather than you, the rest of red, and Justin was due to him talking with Mik first.

Though then again, I dunno if you guys even tried talking to him. Like, did you guys talk to Justin and he just told cody to vote for Edwards? Cause if that was the case then when I told him to vote for Justin, he was under the impression that we were all voting Justin and then there was nothing we had to do to convince him since he had been voting with Red for awhile. So uh I guess the answer depends on what you guys did to try and convince him?

From eaedwards6400: Had I gotten to the Final 3 would have taken me to the finals or was that just a way of buttering me up? Be honest now.

Answer: That was not a lie (I only lied twice during the game, once when I took the vote I sent in on Paul after my Valentine vote and tried to pass it off as my original vote to the rest of Red and once to Cody at the Final 5). If you had beaten Mik in a tiebreaker and I went on to win the Final challenge, I would have taken you to the Finals with me for two reasons. The first is that I would have felt that you had earned it by beating Mik who, more often than not, did better than you in the challenges. The other reason is that I believe you were, overall, stronger than Dragon. Mik told me once you liked to come up with plans and stuff so I got the impression you were trying your best while Dragon was just kinda along for the ride, I guess. So yeah, I would have taken you to the finals.

----------------------------- MysteriousStan final -----------------------------

From cody11533: If Mik had been voted out, what was your backup plan? How would it have changed at different points in the game (basically from the final 9 until the end)?

Answer: Interesting question. I never really thought about it till the end. I think by the time final 9 hit, the only way for Mik to get voted out was for me to fail to get back to you during the Justin vote. In which case, Edwards goes to tiebreaker with Justin and if he loses, Mik was next to go on their list from what you told Mik. Then it was would be Justin, you, me, Dragon, Tyder, Jeffrey, and ffman. At that point, Id probably have tried to strike a deal with Justin. Have me, you, Dragon, and Justin go to the Final 4 voting out the rest of Red along the way. I think Justin would have gone along with it since sticking with someone from his original tribe would be way better than sticking with three Reds. But yeah, that would probably be my best bet for survival and only way to keep from being voted out.

Only other feasible time I saw him getting voted out is at Final 5 where you, Edwards, and Dragon vote him (since I had immunity). Or Final 4 in a tiebreaker to Edwards, too. Both of which I thought could end up happening. But the backup plan would still be the same in that case, win immunity the rest of the way and have you guys choose the Final 3.

Closing Remarks: And thats it for the questions. I certainly have some of my own that Id like to know about but thatll have to wait till the reunion it seems. I guess all I have left to say is its been a fun journey and I hope that no matter who you vote for, you vote for the person you think deserves it.
